“College is a time of learning and excitement. It is also a time of growth and self-exploration. Along with supporting our students’ educational needs, we also must provide for their holistic physical, social, and mental health needs. The new Recreation and Wellness Center is the hub for all of these services and will become the beating heart of our community.”
–Carla Panzella, Vice Provost for Student Affairs
Creating an Ethos of Health
Individually, physical health, mental health, and strong community connections are important aspects of life. When combined, the resulting holistic well-being is far greater than the sum of its parts. The form and function of the Center intentionally work to seamlessly weave together all aspects of health and well-being to create students ready for the rigors of higher education and prepared for the next phase of their personal and professional lives.
